Senior Thesis project on view during the 2024 Graduating Student Exhibit via The Fashion Institute of Technology. 

White sugar is a substance that is embedded into the average American diet. Although this society at large is becoming more conscious of better solutions to a healthier lifestyle, by design, communities of color continue to be left out of these conversations. “Sweet Dreams,” a project that uses New York City as its poster child, highlights the relationship between a commodity and politics. Even through adversity, there is the beauty of a community that continues to lean on itself to become the realization of its own dreams.
